Hi Guys,

Received my new Kamado Joe last week and was doing the first burn in this morning when I noticed a defect in the dome close to the handle. It isnt a huge piece of damage but would be concerned it could get worse over time. It looks like a patch and paint job and now I've see it, I cant unsee it!! Is this normal or should a be seeking a warranty replacement?

Any advice welcomed.

    I’d make them return or replace based on principle. It’s brand new — that’s bad quality control.

    I’m usually of the camp that people need to relax about natural imperfections in ceramics and glaze, and just use their grill, but this one would irk me if it was a brand new Joe. I may contact them here. Either way though, if it becomes a problem, you’re under warranty.
