The condiments section never has the good stuff.
Every grocery has a specialty food section. Asian sauces and Spanish sauces are there usually. At least at our grocery store, thats where all the “better” hot sauces are located.

Yes, this is a sad collection but there are meals that a few of these hit pretty good on. Tabasco is a decent add to spice up chili or soups. I don’t mind the scorpion or green jalapeño on a Chipotle bowl. Cholula had always been a favorite of mine for an omelette. There is a Malinda’s in there but I can’t say I’ve ever had that particular one. Most are decent though. Finally I like Tiger Sauce on Asian leftovers it’s certainly not a hot sauce but it does have a weird, sweet flavor that I enjoy. If you have a local restaurant that has a killer sauce, ask if they will bottle it and sell it to you. I just bought a couple Jamaican Jerk Hot Sauces bottles from a place close by. It’s amazing, at first it tastes like a sweet chimichurri but then lights you up. He put it in those plastic squeeze bottles and charged me $10!a bottle. I feel like I won the lottery. So good!

Food Lion is okay. Publix and Lowe’s Foods have decent choices in the international aisles.

Yeah most grocery stores have like 5 shelves of ketchup, then 3 shelves of Franks, and if you are lucky some Cholula or Tabasco in maybe some other flavors besides their habanero. It’s not that good. I get my groceries from TJ’s or Aldi, meaning their collections are all their generic versions, so I’m forced to order from Amazon or the online stores for my collection, unless we are talking about re-filling my Tabascos and Cholula’s or Crystal. And Amazon is way overpriced.

Get a bottle of Dave’s Insanity sauce (on Amazon or wherever) and buy whatever grocery store sauce looks the best based on ingredients you like and don’t even consider the heat level. Put a few drops of the insanity sauce in the grocery store sauce and I bet you will have a good daily driver.
