Hi everyone,
My sister and I received fine Bordeaux wines from our parents as an investment when we were born, since neither of us are wine connaisseurs, we are not willing to waste this splendid wine on our taste buds.
Therefore i'd love some guidance on where to go (auction houses, brokers, or collectors) and what to expect.
Here are the details:
Both wines have been kept safely over the years, but we don't have professional storage records.
Chateau Margaux 2002, 12 bottles in original wooden case
Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2004, 2 original wooden cases of 6 bottles each
Thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure about auctions, but Lobenberg (https://www.lobenbergs-von-privat.de/) will likely be interested and at least give you an honest price. Whether you can achieve more at auction, I don’t know. I think Sylvie’s is fairly well known. They can prob tell you more. http://www.sylvies.be Would definitely get a few offers in and do some more research.
“Stored safe”
What does that mean in terms of temperature and temperature fluctuation?
Lack of storage records will make these highly suspect, I suspect.
Nice wines! Idealwine, Sylvie’s, and can certainly give Lobenberg a try.
You’ll get a decent price, keep the cases banded/closed and don’t open them yourself until being photographed for auction.
Well you could try Silvies. They have an auction coming up very soon and you can see they sell a lot of Bordeaux. Read their instructions and rules carefully. They will also give you a free estimate. You should get a good price. I think your parents made a wise investment!

Like some people said I highly recommend Sylvies. It’s very good auction side with lots of high tier wines.
Catawiki has also been named but I have heard not so much positive comments about the site.
