My wife and I just recently moved here from Maine and are trying to find a pizza place that has pizza like our favorite place called Romeo’s the pizza is more of a thin crust compared to what is normally served down here this is a picture of what it looks like

It doesn’t look 1:1 but the bar style pizza from Via 313 has a similar thickness and cheese char.

That one is baked closer to a Detroit style where there’s a lot of oil and cheese in the pan to crisp it up, which doesn’t look like the case here.

    Could be worth a try.

Homeslice and Little Deli are my gotos for thinner crust

Bar style pizza from via313 is what you are looking for

Small’s pizza in Springdale General is where it’s at if you want some crispy thin crust pizza

I like to try the plain cheese first at any pizza joint and Aviator & Brooklyn Pie Co have done the trick for me so far.

  6. Milano and Baldinucci

Edit: can’t read but I’m leaving it

  7. The tomato pie at Pedroso’s next to LaLa’s is my go to.

A lot of people will say Homeslice and I don’t necessarily agree, but if you do then ask for it well done.

Oddwood brewery, and Lefty’s Pizza are your closest

  9. Pedrosa’s for NYC slice/pies but takeout only. All day for orofonal thing NY style with wine bar. Both excellent choices

Pinthouse pizza hands down best pizza in town

  11. I’m from Maine, so I know exactly what you’re looking for. You’ve gotten some solid pizza recommendations (except Mr. Gatti’s, that’s just cheap buffet pizza), but none of them match Romeo’s style. The only place that even comes close is Double Dave’s. Welcome to Austin!

Go to Allday pizza. It’s likely better than anything you’ve ever had in the past.

Side Eye Pie Kills it! All Day is great! Smalls is smashing it!

IMO, for NY the best is Allday. Palm, Side Eye, Sammataro and La Volta are also solid. New Haven is Smalls. Neopolitan go to Bufalina. Grata, Pieous and Desano are also good options. Via 313 for Detroit (their bar style is also good). If you like sourdough, try Jester King or Days. Haven’t tried Feral, Little Deli, Pedroso or Oddwood yet but hear good things.
