If you like a slightly sweeter take on the traditional shaken-or-stirred martini, try this stylish version, which uses black-raspberry Chambord liqueur. The scarlet-hued drink, called a Chambord martini or Chambord French martini, makes the perfect next-level Chambord cocktail if you’re craving something besides the standard Chambord Royale Champagne cocktails. Plus, served up in a martini glass, it looks impressive to serve guests or a date, even if it only takes a few minutes and three ingredients to create. A lemon rind, fresh raspberry, or other garnish of your choosing brings this homemade martini to bar-level status. Cheers!
An hour (or more) before serving your martinis, pop the empty martini glasses into the freezer. This will make the glasses especially cold, and will chill the cocktail as you sip it.
What Is Chambord?
Chambord is a name-brand black raspberry liqueur made in France’s Loire Valley. Chambord’s ingredients include raspberries, blackberries, and blackcurrants, blended with XO Cognac and infused with vanilla, honey, citrus peel, and spices, including cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. Chambord has a recognizable deep purple hue, and is sold in circular bottles that come in a variety of sizes.
