Managed to get myself a sage Bambino plus and my Fiancee bought me a DF54. I've only used the grinder once so far so I'll be attempting to dial in for now. Using Marks and Spencer Italian style coffee beans as my "practice beans"
Any general tips/advice for either the machine or grinder are much appreciated.
I've been really enjoying it with the pressurized basket and lavazza preground coffee while we were waiting for the grinder, much better than my old pre ground french press I drank previously.
Patiently waiting on my scale from Amazon and bottomless portafilter, wdt tool and dosing ring from AliExpress.

I’ve been using Lavazza Super Crema to season the burrs on my new DF54 as well, just bought a bag of Colombian medium roast from my local roaster so Saturday I’ll finally start to feed the DF54 something it can finally show it’s worth with. Looking forward to the weekend.

Exact same setup and colour as ours. Great starting combo

What grind setting and weight do you set with for the double shot?

I have this same setup and literally got it dialled in yesterday. I use grind size 12 with 16-17g of ground coffee. Coffee beans are from Aldi. I found the grams of coffee you use was much less important than the grind size. Grind size 13 was too runny and 11 too slow.

Don’t bother trying to dial in until you get the scale just wait until it arrives tomorrow!
