Have you ever tried to scoop out an avocado and gotten disgusted at the brown skin that gets scooped out with the green meat? How about getting frustrated with how many little bad spots there are to cut out? How long does it actually take you to cut up an avocado? 2, maybe 3 minutes to get all the good parts out with none of the bad?

Try this:

  1. Cut the avocado in half lengthwise with a sharp knife.

  2. Cut the half without the seed in half once again.

  3. Peel the skin back from the pointy end to the base.

  4. Watch all the little blemishes come off with the skin, leaving little to nothing to cut out!

  5. Use your knife to make hit on the seed in the other half, twist, and pull out the seed.

  6. Repeat steps 3-4.

This works perfectly up until the avocado is overripe. At that point, the skin starts to break away but it still doesn't leave the brown scum on your fruit. This all takes maybe 30-45 seconds to do

I hope this helps in your food prep. Let me know how it works for you!

It’s basically how I do it. I always peel off the skin-I don’t scoop out the insides

I just eat the bad parts.

Protip: Leave your avocados out until they’re almost perfectly ripe, then pop them in the fridge and they’ll last another week or more. Just take one out an hour before you want it, or the night before, if you don’t like them cold.
