Brunching w/ Belle Ep. 2: Pizza for breakfast but Breakfast Pizza!

Easy & Delicious Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients
• Seasoned Pizza Dough (unseasoned dough from @pocobero )
• Pizza Sauce
• Breakfast Sausage (cooked)
• Bacon (cooked)
• Egg
• Shredded Cheese

Instructions:

1. Place seasoned dough on baking sheet, or baking pan
2. Add pizza sauce, amount depends on preference
3. Add cheese, then sausage and bacon (do not add egg)
4. Bake pizza for 10 – 15 minutes at 400 (this allows pizza to brown slightly without overcooking egg)
5. Remove pizza from oven, add egg scrambled or sunny side up
6. Cook pizza for an additional 5 minutes, or until egg has reached preferred doneness
7. Remove from oven, add desired toppings (fresh cracked pepper, grated parmesan, crushed red pepper, etc.)
Notes:
• I prefer maple flavored breakfast sausage or maple bacon for salty and sweet breakfast flavors
• Pan used in video was a 9-inch springform pan

Breakfast pizza is one of my favorite brunch items, and I don’t see it on menus often, so I’ll show you how to make it. If you love pizza, you absolutely have to make this. Start with seasoned dough. It can be storebought or homemade. Just add seasoning. Add your favorite pasta sauce, and some good cheese. Here’s where it gets more like breakfast. My toppings are breakfast sausage, maple bacon, jalapeno, and egg. I add the egg after the pizza has baked a little so the pizza can brown and the egg doesn’t cook too much. Though, I did cook it more than I wanted this time. Oh well, it’s still delicious. Out the oven, I sprinkled some grated parmesan and some green onions. The four S’s breakfast style.

  1. Always a delightful dish and you get to make it the way that makes you happy. I love it well done. Sometimes the set yolk is a nice change.
