Ambassador Fabrizio Lucentini presented the diploma and related insignia of Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy to entrepreneur Arnaldo Gometz during a ceremony at the Italian Embassy in Buenos Aires.
A business executive with 30 years’ experience in the wine sector, Mr. Gometz currently holds the position of sales manager of Catena Zapata, a famous Argentine company founded in the early 1900s by an emigrant from the Marche region.
The company is firmly inspired by the Italian winemaking tradition, a link that Mr. Gometz has always sought to strengthen. Throughout his career, in fact, he has always maintained a keen interest with respect to the food and wine of Italy, providing continuous support during integrated promotion initiatives of the Italian Embassy in Buenos Aires and the articulations of Sistema Italia in Argentina.
His commitment also extends to strengthening cultural cooperation between Italy and Argentina. In fact, since 2023 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Fundación Cultural Coliseum, the entity in charge of managing the Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires, the only theater abroad owned by the Italian state.
