We tend to buy this from Costco (save some $). We usually like to smoke both pieces at the same time. This past time we didn’t and froze one piece whole. I smoked the frozen piece today (after I thawed it properly) and it turned out decent. Does anyone see a big difference when you freeze, thaw & smoke vs straight from the butcher?
Also, you can spot one of our Labs that enjoyed a piece I dropped. She loved it!

As long as you froze the second piece immediately after getting it home it should be just as good. I’ve never had issues with smoking the second weeks after and it tasting different than the first one.
