Pizza Hut is too expensive. Making my own; 435 grams flour & 70% hydration.

Im new at this so if any pros are on here and can spy any abnormalities I’d appreciate it.

Honestly if you want pizza hut style just use premade dough balls from Walmart or Aldi if you’re able. Use lots of olive oil on the bottom. Also I recommend dei fratelli brand pizza sauce. Go with whole milk mozz or provolone.

I get the oven as hot as it goes, then turn it down to 450° once I put the pizza in. Heres my most recent attempt.

Edit: finger dock your dough to stop those crazy air bubbles.

Lmao at the downvotes for suggesting premade dough for pizza hut style pizza.

First let me say the pizza looks fine. Tasty even. But, for me, I can’t imagine going through the trouble of cooking in a cast iron skillet and not spreading the sauce and cheese out to the edge for a nice crispy edge of amazing caramelized cheese!

You could have done that without the pan. You’re not using the sides of the pan at all.

Looks great! God bless cast iron!

Can you make this kind of pizza without a pizza oven and just a regular gas stove top? I have a cast iron pan but I’m afraid to not be able to get it hot enough. I tried doing homemade pizza with my electric oven and it just couldn’t heat it enough
