Elektra Verve Mini

I’m yet to see this machine in other posts.

I bought our Elektra Verve mini a year ago and have had the best experience with it so far. I chose the Verve as my first espresso machine, hoping to make just one purchase in my life. My wife and I host very regularly and serve many milky drinks, both coffee-based and tea-based. Personally, we drink filter, espresso and cortados every day so we thought that having a small but powerful machine that matches the aesthetics of the flat was the best option. I did my research, and after speaking with different distributors, I was persuaded to get this one (the functionality and aesthetics played a big role).

With little experience brewing at home but being a good everyday coffee shop consumer, we had a really enjoyable journey between what we already knew we liked and discovering new ways to get there. We mostly focus on specificity and experimental beans, with occasional nutty, classic dark chocolates. We can brew whatever we want at home.

I love this machine. Paired with the Mazzer Philos, it’s very reliable and delivers back-to-back shots with consistent flavour. As I mentioned, I’ve yet to see another machine like this in this group, so any Verve Mini users are welcome to share your personal experiences.

PS: The only issue I’ve found with the machine is the backflushing system, it seems to get the portafilter stuck. Any advice on that?
