Hey y'all, I'm working on designs for my brother's wedding. One of the requested cookies is a dress that is similar to the actual dress. Other than adding in the ribbing in the bodice, I'm looking for ideas to kind of *spruce up* the design that are still true to the actual dress. What are good techniques that subtley elevate otherwise simple designs?

[sorry all not sure why the pic isn't working, hang tight ]First pic is the beautiful dress, second pic is another wedding dress design I did a while ago that I am planning to use the same cookie cutter for (as a point of reference for the size/shape of the cookie).

I’d recommend flooding each section of the waves separately then adding some fine line details and possibly the glitter you have been. Try to create movement with the separate flooded sections

I dont think you should do the sprinkle sugar. It looks childish. I would do like a pearl shimmer powder instead.

Edible pearls? Little ones as an accent on the dress neckline or along the parts with glitter?

Maybe try a short shimmer or pearl dust over the icing – it adds depth without being flashy.
