Is there a better ball book that I should be using?
The one in the photo is the one I currently use. But I’m curious if there’s a better one that I should be using.

All New Ball and Ball Complete are both good. Maybe check them out from your library before purchase, to see if you like one or both? I got one new, and the other dirt cheap ok eBay (reputable seller).

Many, but not all Blue Book recipes are in the Ball Complete… but there are also a lot more. It’s the book I give as a gift, and it’s my primary book.
Between those two and Blue Book (Hot zucchini pickles are only in Blue and something I make every year), I’m pretty much covered.
I also have a copy of Back to basics, but can’t recommend it. I’m not even sure the last time I opened that book!

There is a newer edition of the blue book now (38th edition) that’s currently available at Ace or Walmart. I agree with the other commenters that the ball complete book is my pick out of all the ball books. Imo it has a good mix of basics and fun things and is easier to find recipes in than the newest edition of the blue book. The all new book is okay but it tends towards the more unique goods and I just don’t reach for it much. I wouldn’t bother with the back to basics book, comparable recipes are available in the other books or through USDA or NCHFP.

All New has some interesting ones with “more modern” flair. I love the rhubarb Marmelade, as an example.
