Oakland Thrive Restaurant Quest: Stella’s Table in White Lake

White Lake, MI – Stella’s Table serves up modern Italian cuisine in White Lake. There is a beautiful restaurant with warm tones to the decor and spacious front windows, as well as carryout service for convenience.

I tried a few of their items, including the artistically crafted Michelangelo sandwich. This delight stars a breaded and fried pork cutlet topped with fig jam, pesto ailoi, goat cheese, and arugula on a demi baguette. It was the perfect mix of softness and crunch. The perfect mix of savory and sweet. An absolutely top notch sandwich experience. While this normally comes with fries, I upgraded to the spinach risotto, which was also delicious.

For another meal I ordered the mushroom ravioli. with steak added. The ravioli was filled with mushrooms and cheese with caramelized onions topped with Marsala wine cream sauce. This went perfectly with the Vineyard Salad, made with red leaf lettuce, apples, Marcona almonds, dried cherries, Gorgonzola, pancetta and hard cider vinaigrette.

Lastly I decided to try the Stella’s Table chicken pesto pizza. The pizza looked just as good as it tasted. The grilled chicken breast slices were arranged so each slice had a hearty piece. The pizza had house made pesto, mozzarella, red onion, artichoke, roasted mushrooms, dorati tomatoes, toasted pine nuts, and balsamic glaze.

Everything I had from Stella’s was prepared with care. And there are many other choices.

Pasta lovers might enjoy tortellini, bolognese, spaghetti and meatballs, trochetta and more. Other entrees include pork, chicken, or veal Florentine. There’s salmon bruschetta. And Parmesan cod. For dessert there are several choices including creme brulee, tiramisu, pistachio cheesecake, and cannoli.
