I just hosted a sardine themed dinner party for 10 people and their kids. And here’s everything I made, including options for people who don’t like fish and who are gluten-free. And what we made for the kids, too. Starting off with drinks, we did an apperal spritz because, of course, and a Gia appertif with grapefruit soda and some wine. Appetizers were tomato and bors and christini on olive sourdough with smoked splaky sea, watermelon and mozzarella skewers with basalamic, garlic ioli with fresh and tempura zucchini and sardines. For the main, I had gluten-free and regular fkaca alongside an herb roasted chicken with anchovi gravy and a Caesar salad with cheesy croutons. Dessert was a lemon olive oil cake alongside vanilla ice cream topped with olive oil. People are nervous to try it with row on it, but I honestly couldn’t taste it. And you could have chocolate ganache on the side as well. For the kids, we had mac and cheese, bread, and these cute little fish shave puff pastry hot dogs. And for dessert, we had a buttercake that my daughters helped me make. Stay tuned for part two where I tell you everything that went wrong with this evening and why there aren’t more sardines on the
