making spinach dip here at the Young’s House. And I am so excited to show you all how easy it is to make spinach dip taste delicious. Here’s what you’re going to need. You’re going to need you some nice fresh spinach. I have some beautiful spinach that we’re going to wash off. You’re going to need some butter. Your butter can be salted or unsalted. You’re also going to need some cream cheese. And instead of using artichokes, I’m using a nice sweet Videllia onion. You’re going to need some cheese. You can use provolone or mozzarella. You’re going to need some spices to make it come together and taste good. We have garlic and onion powder, chicken boy powder, and ranch powder seasoning. Make sure your hands are impeccably clean. Let’s make spinach dip that tastes good. Something to dip. So, I’m using these dipper chips. That is absolutely amazing. You can use regular Fritos or you can use tortillas. You could even use pita chips. You are having a great day today. And if you’re not, hopefully I can brighten up your day with this recipe. So, I’m taking this recipe on a nice twist and turn that I’m going to absolutely love. I do like artichokes and typically when you make this recipe, you’re going to mix um artichokes into your recipe and the spinach and the artichokes. They pair together like peas and carrots, but I didn’t want none. So, here’s what I’m going to do. We’re going to sauté up some onions and replacing those artichokes. And I am so excited because are you kidding me? Who doesn’t love a nice sauteed onion? And that’s how we’re going to do it. Make sure that you sauté these onions. We want them to have a nice, beautiful, golden brown color. And then we’ll mix them in. It’s going to give a nice sweetness that we all love. So, I have a mediumsiz onion. I feel like this onion is plenty enough. We’re going to slice and dice it down just like so. And this is going to be the first thing that we work on. Sautéing it in some butter. Salt and pepper in it. Give it some great flavor. Go in with about four tablespoon of butter. Your butter can always be salted or unsalted, whatever you’re happy with. I’m going to go ahead and put it right into the pan, even before the butter melts. So, now once I see that I um my onions are nice and sauteed and they have a nice, beautiful caramelized look, that’s when I’ll go in and season them with a little bit of salt and a little bit of pepper and it makes the onion sweeter, believe it or not. Want to hear from you all in the comment section below. Have you ever made a spinach dip before? Have you ever tasted it? If you’ve never tasted it, you’re definitely in for a treat. And I’d like to know, how do you like to make yours? I have made this recipe so many different ways, but this way is the way I love it. So now, let’s just say you’re one of those people that want to add the beautifully um sauteed onions and the artichokes. You can do that. So now when I make this recipe, I don’t use the fresh artichoke. What I do is I get the jar or you can even get the can and it comes in a brine. You’re just going to rinse it and give it a nice drain and put a whole jar in there. Okay, but before you do that, you’re going to want to chop down the artichokes. But let me know your recipe and how much you want. Let’s talk about something. Now, this recipe will be baked in the oven so that cheese can get nice and bubbly and melty. Okay, so but guess what? You don’t have to put it in the oven. No, you don’t have to put it in the oven. You can do it on top of the stove and then wham, bam, you’re done. Okay. I like to put it in the oven specifically because that cheese on the top gets a little crispy. It gets golden brown edges and really nice and bubbly. And it takes a while to really melt down our cream cheese. My cream cheese is room temperature. Make sure that yours is room temperature. Otherwise, it’ll take forever in a day for it to melt. Right. This is going to be my baking dish here. And be sure to wash up your spinach. I want you all to take a look at what I want for your sauteed onions to look like. Nice, beautiful, and caramelized. And if you can get them a little bit darker, you can do that, too. If you want to put some fresh garlic in here, I’m going to suggest just a couple slices. Mince it up very well. Don’t use too much cuz you don’t want to mess up the flavor of what it’s supposed to taste like. We’re going to go right in with our spinach. And you see that oil or butter that’s in there? is that it’s going to cook your spinach. Spinach does not take long to cook. You’re quickly going to see this begin to wilt down just like so. You begin to see um that your spinach is wilting down. Go ahead and put your cream cheese in. Once again, like I said, if your cream cheese is room temperature, it’s it’s just going to help you along the way. Otherwise, it takes forever to melt. So, you see that I’m kind of chopping it up to help the cooking process. I’m using this whole 8 oz. And then we’re going to go in and give it a nice stir. But look how much the spinach has wilted down. If you want a big uh pot, you’re going to want to use more spinach, okay? Cuz when you look at that bag full of spinach, it looks like a lot, but remember it will step ahead and season it. And don’t you be afraid to season. I’m going in with that garlic powder. And on purpose, I’m putting a nice amount. I’m going in with the onion powder. Same thing. Put a nice amount. Even though you have fresh onions in there, chicken boy bullion on just a little bit, but enough to taste. Okay, that’s perfect. And we’re going to be using some of this ranch powder, but we’ll stir that in towards the end of the cooking process. Let’s do this. Oh my goodness, the onions is going to make this so delicious. Would you look at that? But no, we’re not done. Just tasted it. It tastes absolutely amazing right now. It does. I’m gonna put one more tablespoon of butter in just for a nice rich flavor. Okay, so now I’m going to turn this down on low and we’re going to put this whole eight oz of mozzarella because when you’re making a spinach dip, you want that cheesy pull. It has to be super cheesy. So, let’s do it together. Oh, look at that. Yes. And I’ve decided to use a much smaller pan since it’s wilted down by so much. And now we’re going to put uh our ranch powder. And I’m not going to skimp on it. I want to taste that flavor. There we go. Let’s mix this up. And into the oven 350°. Wow. The pan that I’m using, it’s a ovenproof pan. This is going to go into the oven 350°. Let’s talk about something. Back in the in the days, guess what I used to do? I would take a sourdough bread bowl. Okay? So, hold on one second. So, it looks like this. I would cut it in half and then I would core the middle of the bread out. Get rid of that. And I would put this into the middle of that bread and you can serve it that way. It’s gorgeous. Do that for the holidays. Let’s get this in the oven. Do this. Get your chips on there. I know this is so exciting. I know you’re excited. Can’t tell me you wouldn’t. Look at this. Can I just show you? Oh my goodness. Watch it. Watch it. Listen to me. If you enjoyed this here video, oh yeah, give me a thumbs up. If you haven’t subscribed, make sure you subscribe. Tell your family and friends. Tell the world what Gina’s doing in this kitchen on a daily basis. And Heavenly Father, once again, we thank you for your love, this meal, your hedge of protection. Amen. Taste. I couldn’t be more excited. This right here, this is definitely holiday worthy. Oh, that cheesy pool. Oh, all right. It’s hot. Oh, I want that onion. Give me those onions. Right. Going right in. Here’s where we amped up the flavor. Deciding to put onions in here that’s sauteed gives a nice slight sweet taste. The ranch powder, the chicken bullion. This right here, winner for sure. Make you some. Enjoy this recipe. Good night. [Music]
