Cafe Michelina | 423 Bloomfield Street

Cafe Michelina’s penne vodka, chicken murphy and stuffed rigatoni all go well with a bottle of your favorite wine. Plus, when the weather is nice, you can enjoy a glass paired with complementary bruschetta on the outdoor patio. Enjoy the sunshine and delicious food on the quiet corner of Bloomfield and 5th.

Club Pilates 2023

Pick your own bottle and your own pasta sauce at this Hoboken Italian spot. With 11 signature sauces and five pasta shapes to choose from, diners can create their own pasta entree. Bring your own bottle for a pairing that’s entirely your own.

Dozzino | 534 Adams Street

Best known for its wood fired pizzas, Dozzino has tons of classic toppings to choose from — think mortadella, prosciutto, artichoke and more. But if pizzas aren’t your thing, don’t fret. Dozzino’s “Best Chicken Parm Sandwich Ever” doesn’t disappoint. Bring a few friends and a few bottles of wine to Dozzino for a pizza party everyone will enjoy.

Flour sits right next door to its sister restaurant, The Pizza Shop By Flour. Serving Italian food with a bit of a twist (think Mexican street corn pasta, whipped ricotta toast and spicy-ish caesar salad), the menu has something for everyone. Try something new paired with your go-to bottle for a mix of rich flavors.

Johnny Pepperoni | 219 11th Street

Burrata, arancini and more classic Italian comforts are available at this Hoboken spot. Head uptown and stop at a local wine shop on the way for a meal served on the signature red and white checkered placemats.

Napoli’s | 1118 Washington Street + 133 Clinton Street

With two locations in Hoboken — both BYOB — Napoli’s serves up delectable brick oven pizzas that can of course be paired with your favorite bottle of red, white or rose depending on your mood. And there’s more than just pizza. Try the wraps, paninis, heroes and more for a satisfying Italian meal.

Otto Strada | 743 Park Avenue

Otto Strada temporarily closed for several months due to a fire this year, but the restaurant has now reopened as of September. Support this BYOB Italian spot’s reopening and enjoy some of the customer favorites — think smashed burrata and prosciutto, rigatoni alla vodka and polpetta della nonna.

Panello | 720 Monroe Street

Panello’s mouthwatering wood fired pizza menu features classics like the margherita and marinara pies, plus more unique choices like truffle pizza and even a nutella pie for dessert. Go for a small or large depending on the size of your group, and do not forget the vino.

San Giuseppe | 1320 Adams Street

Fried gnocchi, garlic knot meatball sliders and Italian egg rolls are just a few of the many tasty items on the menu at San Giuseppe in Hoboken. Enjoy one of the untraditional yet delicious dishes with a few friends and the drink of your choice. Tenth Street Pizza + Pasta | 1000 Willow Avenue

If you’re looking to enjoy pizza, good conversation and wine, Tenth Street Pizza + Pasta is the spot to do it, especially if you’re hoping to sit outside. Choose from the classic square pies or opt for one of the house specialities such as burrata con pomodoro or ricotta crostini.

This Jersey City spot operates out of a house that’s been converted into a family-style restaurant, making it one of the more unique dining experiences in the area. Reservation only, this hidden gem provides a cozy atmosphere and high-quality Italian cuisine. Plus, it’s BYOB, so don’t forget to stop for a few bottles on the way.

Corto | 507 Palisade Avenue

For an outdoor Italian BYOB dining experience, Corto is a top-notch option. The lovely patio makes dining al fresco even more wonderful. Start with the ricotta and honey toast or burrata and enjoy one of the classic pastas or entrees (think fusilli with red pepper pesto or sea scallops) for your main course. And of course, keep your wine glass handy throughout. 

The Franklin | 159 New York Avenue

The Franklin has brunch, lunch and dinner with indoor and outdoor seating options. Try a few of the Italian dishes like the fried calamari, cavatelli alla vodka and cacio e pepe. This spot also offers a wide array of other cuisines if you’re in the mood. Think braised short rib, a bacon cheeseburger and other comfort foods.

Rustique Pizza | 611 Jersey Avenue

Rustique Pizza is more than just a pizza shop — they’re also known for hot heroes like the eggplant parmigiana hero, veal parmigiana hero, and pastas dishes (think pasta bolognese, lobster ravioli and sausage and broccoli rabe, to name a few). Bring your own bottle to take your meal to the next level.

 

 

Corkage Options
Anthony David’s | 953 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken

Although they have a full bar available, Anthony David’s does allow you to bring your own bottle. There’s a $25 corkage fee per 750ml bottle, $30 per liter and $40 per Magnum. Beers are $2 a bottle as well. Start with wine, and then try out one of the craft cocktails like the lychee martini or picante margarita with your main course.

Margherita’s | 740 Washington Street, Hoboken

Spicy vodka tortellini, Italian fries and pappardelle bolognese are just a few delicious choices on the menu at Margherita’s. If you choose to bring your own bottle, you’ll have to pay a $6 corkage fee per 750ml, $12 corkage fee per Magnum and $1 corkage fee per bottle of beer.

Roman Nose | 125 Newark Avenue, Jersey City

Located in Jersey City, Roman Nose is another Italian spot that has corkage options to go along with the full cocktail menu ($25 per bottle). Pair your bottle with one of the classic pizzas like the pesto, crudo or salsiccia pie.
