LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A local Italian restaurant is packing up its Louisville location.

Milano Italian Restaurant said in a Facebook post last week it would be closing the doors on its Westport Road location Oct. 31.

The restaurant thanked customers who have supported them over the past five years it has called the location home.

“We are deeply grateful for the trust and loyalty you’ve shown our Milano family,” the post reads. “Although it’s hard to say goodbye, we hope and pray that in the not-too-distant future, we may return again to Louisville, Kentucky.”

The Shelbyville location, which opened in 2018 as Milano’s first location, will stay open.

The 3,800-square-foot Westport Road location opened in 2021 near Chamberlain Lane.
