I am a new baker. This is a simple loaf I made today. I am sure it is nothing special to a lot of you amazing bakers, but this is the best one I’ve ever made.

  1. I think there was too much flour on the banneton.

This is a very good early bread attempt, I assure you. How’s the crumb?

  3. Looks like it needs some butter…I can bring some to share! It looks so good!!!

You’re going to cherish this photo when you end up looking back at all your bakes in like 5 years. I’m sad r/breadit doesn’t allow photos in comments, I’ve been dying to do a “First bake, most recent bake” post. It’s crazy to see how far people have come from when they started, mine didn’t look nearly as good as yours. Keep on it!!!

The only thing that matters is, how did you like it? did you have an amazing experience tasting it? looks great

  6. I love how you weren’t afraid to really get a good browning on it! Most newbies pull it too early and the crust is like all blonde and sad. Amazing work!

It looks wonderful! I hope it tasted good too!

Homemade bread is wonderful and we all have to start somewhere! I have baked for years and can nail flavor texture etc.

    But attractiveness still eludes me!

    I will bake on.

Hold your head up !!! ❤️❤️❤️
