After this point, I’ve been an arrogant purist and I make my own sauce with lacto fermentation. I viewed commercially made sauces as a shortcut to doing it the right way.

I gotta say though – I can’t think of a sauce that has a better ratio of heat to flavor than this stuff. It’s expensive. But for the consistent quality, I’m probably gonna have a bottle of this stuff around to scratch my heat itch.

Well done Torch Bearer. I think you may have surpassed Tabasco scorpion as my number one “hot” hot sauce.

  1. It’s a bit hot on its own for me, but it tastes amazing and is awesome to cook with!

Yellowbird’s sauces are top-tier. Their habanero condiment is a permanent fixture on my table too.

They have Garlic Reap beef sticks on their website. No where near as hot but are pretty damn good. They also sent me some cool free stickers.

Nice! I gotta try this. I love garlic.

  5. i always tell people that it’s the absolute hottest sauce that i still genuinely enjoy, such a great flavor

When its taco night I love mixing this into sour cream that I cover my tacos in!

For me its a bit much heat to just dump on my taco, so the mix is a nice way to get the flavor evenly distributed.

This and mushroom mayhem made me go down the torchbearer rabbit hole lol

You’re in luck. They’re currently having a BOGO sale. Buy a bottle and get a random bottle.

They also run 20% off sales on occasion.

  9. It is brutally hot but man that aftertaste hits good

  10. It’s hard to justify a $20 bottle of hot sauce.. and you almost had me. Until you said Tabasco Scorpion; it’s mildly hot, but the fruitiness is not it. So you lost me again.

The price is why I won’t try it

Ashes 2 Ashes is pretty good too. Sweet and spicy.

Yeah 11/10 best sauce I’ve ever had.

I love this stuff so much that I bought the box of 12. Putting a 4-5 tablespoons in a bowl of soup makes life exciting!

Recently bought a bottle of their Plum Reaper and I love the small hit of heat, followed by the fruity taste and then a more intense heat that kind of hangs around. It just touches the edge of discomfort! 😁

For certain dishes yes! For stuff that doesn’t agree well with garlic, their zombie apocalypse is phenomenal!

Put way too much in some Alfredo when I first got it. Gotta be careful with that one. She’ll catch ya off guard for sure. Delicious nonetheless!

  18. I got a BIG bottle in an order last year as a freebie, and my previous 3 regular bottles had lasted me up until now. I recently cracked into the big bottle, and I’m sitting here looking at a “NOT FOR RESALE” sticker on it as well as a good by 2/27 sticker, and feeling like I won.
