The Consulate of Greece in Chicago, in cooperation with the City of Chicago and the National Hellenic Museum, will present “A Greek Journey in the Windy City,” part of the Neighborhoods of the World series, at the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier on March 27.
The event will present various aspects of Greek culture, incluing performances by the Orpheus Hellenic Folklore Society as well as the Chicago Hellenic Choir, under the direction of Efithia Papageorgiou. There will also be live music, activities for children, dance lessons and more.

Screen projectors will feature video clips from the National Tourism Organization, presenting popular attractions such as the new Acropolis Museum in Athens. Additionally, the National Hellenic Museum will present a pictorial illustrating the history of Chicago’s Greeks, as well as Greeks in the United States.
Greek and Mediterranean appetizers will be served. There will also be a wine tasting and olive oil tasting.
