El Yuc's Caribbean. I go through this stuff more than anything. It checks all the boxes I want for a "daily driver."

I love every other flavor of theirs, never tried this one!

  2. completely agree with you on a daily driver, absolutely fantastic heat and flavor for an often less than $3-4 bottle

Sad I can’t find this available near me

  4. UraniumRocker

This is my favorite, but I mostly only use it with seafood. The XXXtra version is my daily use sauce

  5. Sushimono

Fridge staple for me and it’s always on sale here

The best hot sauce is the one you have when you need hot sauce.

I rotate through various versions of El Yucateco or Marie Sharps.

Chipotle Tabasco Sauce is the best tasting despite being 1/10 spicy

I had this for the first time last week.
It blew me away. Now an EDC for me

It’s the hot sauces we ate along the way.

I think the green one is more versatile, but that one is also one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything is in perfect balance.

depends on cuisine, there’s probably a best for each. Or whatever is good on scrambled eggs.

Cheeba gold is my favorite to add to anything sort of bland like rice or eggs. it also goes well with almost any kind of fish.

you need tobasco for bloody marys and franks for hot wings, maybe tapatio or a habanero sauce for mexican food, sambal olek for asian food or chili oil, calabrian peppers for fra diavolo.

Been using this one a lot the past few days 😮‍💨

  15. Are apples or oranges best?

I suspect the best hot sauces will be those made and consumed fresh. For most of us, only in some Mexican, Caribbean and East Asian restaurants.

On the shelf, I think the best distinction is which are the best values. Frank’s is cheap, but I personally hate the taste, so not a value for me. El Yucateco sauces are generally good values, and hence there’s a 2L bottle of Kutbil-Ik / XXXtra hot in my refrigerator. I like their Caribbean, but recognize that it, like Melinda’s ‘original’, are both copies of Marie Sharp’s.

To me, the ‘best’ is the best tasting, and I would only buy what is the best.

I mean that’s MY favorite sauce. It’s not necessarily my daily driver (That’s probably Valentina) but I love Caribbean the most, it’s just kinda hard to find here.

For me it’s the best tasting sauce that has a good amount of heat, but not to the level of being excessive. Once I discover that perfect one, I’ll always have a bottle near at hand. Ever since I discovered it by sheer luck at the Nashville Farmer’s Market in 2008, my staple sauce has been Spicin Foods’, outstanding, Raw Heat Vintage 69′, from their, “Pain Is Good” brand. It’s rare to find a hot sauce so delicious, that even with having such a high Scoville rating, (50,000 SHU!!) that the flavor isn’t even the least downed out by the spiciness! I highly recommend this legendary sauce to any fellow “Pepper Head” out there. A moderately high heat tolerance is suggested!

I like mixing this one for the flavor with the xxx Yuc for the heat. Especially on tacos or burritos

Me to. This stuff has been the best daily go to for flavor.
