For that classic taste, make sure you have plump raisins, a dash of ground cinnamon, and pure vanilla extract. Having everything ready makes the baking process smooth and enjoyable. Now, let’s get to mixing the perfect dough. In a large bowl, cream together your softened butter with both the granulated and brown sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy. Next, beat in two large eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in one teaspoon of vanilla extract. Finally, gradually add your dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. With your base dough ready, it’s time for the stars of the show, the oats and raisins. Gently fold in three cups of rolled oats and one cup of plump raisins. Be careful not to overm mix the dough, as this can lead to tough cookies.
