Stir-fried noodles are my favorite quick and easy meal. The cooking itself only takes around 5-7 minutes. The preparation time depends on what veggies you will include. For this recipe, I used a carrot and green beans, but you can substitute them with whatever you want.

  1. This recipe is very flexible. You can change the meat and veggies used. If you want it to be vegetarian, you can just use fried tofu instead of meat. I’m honestly not good with measurements, but I tried my best to list the ingredients and procedure. All the seasonings are to taste. It depends on the meat you will use. If it’s already flavorful, there’s no need for a lot of seasoning.

    Preparation Time: 8-10 mins
    Cooking Time: 5-7 mins

    Ingredients:
    – 300 g Dried Egg Noodles
    – 3 pcs Longganisa (Filipino-style Sausage, you can use other sausages)
    – 1 pc Small Onion
    – 1 pc Small Carrot
    – 10 pcs Green Beans
    – 100 g Shitake Mushroom
    – 1 tbs Chili Garlic Sauce
    – 1 tbs Brown Sugar
    – Soy Sauce
    – Kecap Manis (Sweet Soy Sauce)
    – Salt
    – Black Pepper
    – Sesame Oil
    – Water

    Procedure:
    – If you have an electric kettle, it’s good to boil water while prepping the veggies.
    – Slice the onion, carrots, green beans, and mushrooms thinly.
    – Put around half a cup of water and a pinch of salt in your wok or pan, blanche the carrots and beans for a minute. Set aside.
    – Using the same wok or pan, sauté the onions until it becomes translucent. Add the sausage. You have to break down the meat. Then, add the mushrooms.
    – As you stir fry, add the seasoning: salt, pepper, soy sauce, kecap manis, sugar, and chili garlic sauce.
    – Once the meat is cooked, add the hot water. This will boil quickly. Then, add the noodles. This usually takes just 3 minutes.
    – Once the noodles are cooked, add the veggies. Then, turn off the heat and drizzle some sesame oil.
