M. This is my healthy high protein tuna salad. So, first you’re going to get one can of tuna. For the veggies, all you need is a few simple ingredients. We’re going to put in some carrot, some celery, one green onion, and one pickle. You guys know the drill. No sweet pickles, only dill. Yeah, never been a fan of sweet pickles. Much preferred dill. So, now that all the ingredients are in a bowl, time to make the sauce. All you need is cottage cheese. Cottage cheese is the hack here. Hey. Yeah, our appointment on Thursday. Can we make that 2 hours? Obviously, what else would it be about? 1 tbsp of Greek yogurt, some garlic, dijon mustard, and some salt and pepper. And now we blend. And give it a good mix. Wow. Much better. For me, too. A salad needs at least a little bit of mayo, Greek yogurt, even cottage cheese is fine, but a little bit of mayo goes a long way. I would also recommend a whole grain chip to add a little bit of fiber in there. I got these roasted garlic Triscuits. Pretty good. Not dead.

  2. I've only ever been able to eat cottage cheese in 2 recipes so far
    1. A breakfast wrap where it's blended and mixed with egg and cheddar is then put on top so you can't taste it
    2. A chilli beef wrap where there are 3 different types of cheese used in total, it's blended up and you can't taste it
Stop with the cottage cheese propaganda
If there isn't another cheese there, it doesn't belong

  3. I'd say since uou only hate cottage cheese on stuff like brownie, cake, oats, chocolate, etc. or in other words stuff that doesnt go well with cheese, that this is a pass

  4. Personally, I've never missed Mayo in my tuna salad, but I use premixed tzatziki dip (its basically has all the seasonings of tuna salad anyway). I also use light two tablespoons of sweet relish because that's how basically everybody makes tuna salad where I live. Non-sweet relish is fine too, but personally I think that little bit of sugar just kind of brings it all together.

Maybe the store-bought dip has some sort of emulsifier or something that makes it more similar to Mayo.

  5. Needed more acid, and/ or more of a tangy agent…that’s why the mayo was added in the end. Lemon and wine/ rice vinegar would have helped.

  6. I tried chicken salad with greek yogurt: great! Tuna salad… Not so much. Definitely recommend the mayo lol

  7. I do tuna, diced white onion, a small spoon of sweet pickle relish, and mayo. I eat it with original triscuits. Won't do tuna salad any other way now.

  8. Never in my 4 decades of life has cottage cheese & tuna salad ever crossed paths. To each their own tho. I’d just use mayo tho.

  9. I much prefer sweet baby gerkins.. it's not like they're loaded with sugar.. and they're not really THAT sweet.. and tuna salad just isn't tuna salid without them, and cheddar cheese.

  10. I was watching this and thought: For me there's an egg and some vinegar missing. And then you added the mayo 😄

  11. This tuna salad sounds terrible, but I’m glad he used healthy tunas for the tuna salad, unhealthy ones would probably be bad for you

  12. is it even a original recipe anymore if all they do is add cottage cheese to it like its some kinda of miracle addition no one ever thought of.

  13. Dude WTF did I just witness?? A crime against TUNAFISH. As an Ex Catholic(me ‘n my family ate A FUCK LOAD of Tuna Fish on Fridays.)I can’t get with this.

And YES, YOU MUST make your Tuna Fish with MAYONNAISE. Or you’ll burn in hell.😈

  14. Might use this for tuna salad wraps. Add a touch of mayo per wrap cause I agree it just seems wrong without it 😂
