This Saturday, October 18, a one-day event designed to serve as a prelude to next week’s 50th Anniversary French Food Festival Celebration will be held in the Larose Civic Center’s gym from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.  This event is called “Bon Temps and Bites,” said Larose Regional Park and Civic Center Executive Director Sarah Kelley.

“Kelley shared the following written statement, “We’re thrilled to kick off French Food Festival week with a brand-new tradition, Bon Temps and Bites!  It’s the perfect time for everyone to come together and enjoy bite-size samples of the delicious dishes you’ll find at the festival.  Attendees can sip on our signature 50th anniversary cocktail, shop pre-sale souvenirs like aprons, cups, koozies, shirts, and limited-edition festival posters, and dance the night away to help us celebrate this incredible milestone year.  Join us as we raise a glass to 50 years of food, fun, and French heritage, and get ready to kick off the festival in style!”

At 6:30 p.m., the royalty introduction will begin where the queens and grand marshal will be presented.  A live music performance by Dat Kuntry Band will take place from 7:30 p.m. to the closing of the event at 10:30 p.m.

“Tickets are $25 per person, which includes bite-size snacks from 6-7 different French Food Festival booths, live music, a sample of our signature 50th anniversary cocktail, pre-sale souvenirs, and a cash bar.  Tickets are currently on sale, but if we have room we will be selling tickets at the door,” said Kelley.
