Landmark Diner is a historic eatery located in Roslyn on Long Island, and it is Greek-American owned by the Tiglias family.
On Thursday, October 16th, this journalist had the chance to dine at Landmark Diner, which has been part of the Long Island community for over 45 years.
In 2009, it became the first double-decker diner in the United States.
Each day of the week, the diner has its own specials, which are served with soup or fresh salad.
Appetizers
One’s culinary journey at Landmark Diner begins with its appetizers. Fans of seafood will enjoy their “Fried Calamari,” which is crispy and accompanied with their homemade marinara sauce.

Their “Greek style fries” are were crunchy and topped with feta cheese and oregano drizzled on top.

Other noteworthy sides are their flavorful “Onion Strings” and their healthy traditional Greek salad.

Entrée
A highlight entrée and for fans of poultry, one ought to try their “Kotopoulo,” which is Greek style roasted chicken with onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and garlic butter over rice. This dish alone is worth one’s visit to Landmark Diner!

Desserts
At Landmark, their desserts were also fresh and savory, and these included their Éclairs and their scrumptious Chocolate Mousse cake.
Landmark: A sustainable eatery
Most impressive about their newly revamped menu is that they have sustainability in mind. It has advanced energy efficient heating, a cooling system and compact fluorescent lighting.
It uses a new water filtration system, which makes water safer to drink and it ensures that their coffee and tea taste clean and fresh as well.
The Verdict
Overall, Landmark Diner is a warm and pleasant eatery on Long Island with a nonchalant ambiance to it.
The wait staff at Landmark is attentive to the patrons’ needs and professional. It encompasses the best aspects that American, Greek, and Mediterranean cuisines have to offer.

This is a restaurant that is ideal for the whole family, and there is something new to try at every visit due to its lengthy menu of offerings (and a kid’s menu distinctly for children).
All of the beef, meat, fish, and poultry on their menu are natural and free or hormones and antibiotics. It is highly recommended that one checks out Landmark Diner when they are in Roslyn on Long Island. It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars. Bravo.
