Pasta with Lentils | A One-Pot Neapolitan Classic
A humble, hearty, and soul-warming dish that every Italian Nonna has made at least once. This one-pot Pasta e Lenticchie is simple yet deeply comforting — made with just pantry staples, ready in minutes, and packed with flavour. Perfect for busy days or cozy evenings when you want something nourishing and satisfying.
Ingredients (for 2–3 pax):
• 1 can of lentils
• 260–300g small pasta or broken spaghetti
• 4 cherry tomatoes
• 1 clove of garlic
• Olive oil
• Salt
• Parmigiano Reggiano to finish
Instructions:
In a tall pan, add olive oil and garlic and sizzle gently.
Add cherry tomatoes, lentils, and two tins of water.
Cover and bring to a boil over high heat for 5–7 minutes.
Add pasta, remove the lid, and cook directly in the soup until tender.
Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

Let Now bring it back to the stove and let the pasta finish the cooking time straight here about 10 to 12 minutes. And once the pasta is cooked, put it in a plate and finish it up with some Parmesan cheese and if you like a drizzle of good olive oil.
