Tried my hand at making Turkish Delight, just for the challenge. Ended up burning the bottom of my pot and tried to make it look "purple/lavender" with food coloring.
Every time I open the fridge it looks like cut up raw chicken. It doesn't even taste good..

Before reading the caption my first thought was “that looks raw I’m scared”. I’d have guessed an (off) whitefish rather than chicken tho

At first I thought that sushi grade fish

I tried making Turkish delight when I was a teenager…I nearly ruined one of my mom’s saucepans in the process. I am a pretty competent cook now, but I still haven’t re-attempted that one.

  4. Turkish delight was probably the dead last thing I would’ve guessed this was 😂🤣

Jesus Edmund, *this* is the shit you betrayed your family to the White Queen for?

You know, sometimes it’s okay to just throw it away. It’s just mocking you from the fridge anyway.

  10. I had to look up what an actual Turkish delight looked like.

    I didn’t realize it was a confection.

I didn’t think it was possible to accidentally make something look exactly like raw chicken.

Thought it was chicken covered in sugar 🥲

Perfect for Halloween though. Gross your friends out at a party eating your raw chicken cubes.

I love Turkish delight and was legit thinking about trying to make some. Thank you for being the canary in the coal mine for me! I’ll just order some.

I thought you’d marinated raw chicken in coke.

  21. curlyquinn02

I was going to be like, eating raw chicken isn’t the way to go😅

“fridge” That’s not Turkish Delight, putting Turkish Delight in a refrigerator causes moisture to sweat out and dissolve the confection.

It looks like day old chopped chicken that you better cook soon or it will go bad
