With the upcoming Michelin awarding ceremony on October 30th for the Philippines, I thought I’d share my personal choice to earn a star, or perhaps even 2. A lot of emphasis has been put on Chele Gonzalez’s other location in the press due to the architecture and grandeur of Asador Alfonso, but for me, Gallery is in a completely different league.
I see so many online commenters on various social medias giving these types of restaurants a bad reputation because it’s not ‘real’ Filipino food because it wasn’t made at home with ‘love’. This could not be further from the truth, and the experience explored the most incredible ingredients that the Philippines has to offer. Highly recommend to anybody if they happen to visit the country.

I unfortunately found Gallery to be very underwhelming. Most dishes were forgettable. The only dish that was memorable for me was the two vegan cheeses
