Shrimp is so easy and always quick! #shrimp

I’m going to fire up some shrimp in my oonie. Let me show you the recipe. I feel like shrimp is a really good idea because it cooks so quickly and it’s often on sale. It is already de vained cuz ain’t nobody got time for that, but I do like to go through and make sure just in case. I’m just pulling together all my favorite seasonings. So, we’ve got salt, pepper, onion powder, fresh chopped garlic, paprika. I’m actually using smoked paprika and then fresh garlic powder. And when I say fresh, yes, I actually made that garlic powder myself. And then a bunch of fresh herbs that I just blended together with some olive oil. I believe there’s oregano, thyme, and sage in there. I’m mixing everything together. And I didn’t let it sit for that long. I just let it sit for as long as it took to heat up the oonie. I bought a little cast iron for it because my last pizza video that I posted, somebody put in the comments that I should be making steak in my oonie. And I go, hm, I didn’t even think of that. I’m going to start cooking many other things in my Ooni. So, here we are. I heated up the cast iron first. Then, I’m going to layer my shrimp in there. Then, I’m going to dump a big glob of butter on top so that once the shrimp’s cooked, all that seasoning is going to sit on the bottom of the cast iron and I’ll be able to pour all that buttery deliciousness on top. The oon is hot. They cook really fast. So, keep an eye on it. Do what I say, not what I do. Because a few of these in the back got a little crispy, but I’m going to take it out, flip it around so that everyone gets a chance to be close to the fire. And now, let me stop talking for a second so you can hear the sizzle. Um, hello. Was that not the greatest sound you’ve ever heard? Throw them on a plate and top it with the butter from the pan. Okay, this was so good. But next time.
