Order al pastor torta and got random fried mystery meat. Any idea what this is?


I ordered an al pastor torta and this is the meat they gave me doesn’t look like pastor doesn’t taste like it either. What ever it is its so thin that all i can taste is what they fried it in. Looking at it it seems to be ultra thin and they pack tons of it onto my torta. Any idea what i just ate?

    likely gave you a torta Milanese, is a classic Mexican sandwich featuring a crispy, breaded cutlet of meat

    This is milanesa de res, or breaded beef. Very common on tortas. Looks nothing like pig stomach, which is delicious by the way.

    I’m going with breaded bread crumbs. Not seeing much meat activity of any kind. Did you consider calling the restaurant and asking?

    Update. Meat is milanese de res i guess they chose to go very heavy on the breaded part and didn’t put in that much meat.
