I just bought a smoker and seasoned the picanha with a little salt, pepper, garlic and coffe (the flavor is very mild).

I love picanha thanks to my Brazilian neighbors. I’ll have to show them this

What temps and time did it take to smoke this? It looks incredible!

It’s really interesting how Brazil and Germany/austria are the only cuisines using this cut somehow. Though the German/Austrian equivalent „Tafelspitz“ is used as a stew meat and prepared in rich Broth still really suprising to be honest

I don’t think I have seen anything more beautiful in my life. Well done!

I’ll be the Brazilian to say we have absolutely no habit of smoking picanhas here in Picanhaland, it’s basically Salt, fire, and sometimes some pepper and that’s it – the cut itself is so amazing you just need the salt and to prepare it correctly. That said, it doesn’t mean we would reject this smoked perfection… It just seems like overkill, that’s all.

Looks delicious! Wildfork sells great picanha cuts 🥩

With that cross hatch it looks like a brisket/ham combo.
