S&P, 3,3,3 (…but alternating 1 minute per side, and +30 seconds a side, cus he was a big boy). On stainless (sorry) with just a touch of oil.

I’d be mad at myself bc it’s a little overcooked for me, but I’d still eat it and enjoy it. The sear looks fire tho.

Honestly? Not really. I’ve seen way worse but word to the wise: practice on cheaper cuts until you nail your process. More salt for starters. Higher heat. Less moisture on the meat before it goes in the pan. Try cooking with some tallow as well.

Looks very tasty!

It’s your steak. It doesn’t matter what others think. I bet you ate it regardless.
Ok-Coconut5653
Would eat. No shame in your game. Try a touch higher heat, turning often. Pull this bad boy literally 1 minute sooner.

it’s difficult to not get a grey band on a thin steak
Bay_Brah
Eat it with a plastic fork too? You put your knob creek in a solo cup?
Raduuuit
I’d go higher heat for harder sear. But looks great as is

For the thick boys, I prefer to go with a reverse sear. But this looks fine. Other than the gray band, I would have crisped up the side fat. I eat that as a pre-dessert.

Nice crust brother!! 🤩
Foreign-Ad285
Looks great brother cheers 🍻

Still can’t believe we are paying $30 for this .
L3monGr3nade
That was $30? Jesus Christ what is the world coming to? Looks pretty good but I got this for $16
if you’re happy with it, that’s all that matters, still looks juicy to me
VegasGuy1223
Sear is on point! Not rare enough in the middle but not a total loss. Hope you enjoyed
skatedaddy
Looks good. I would go a little hotter on the sear and lighter on the finishing heat. I’m a rare guy though. Would eat at a gathering with no complaints.
pwningnoobslolz
I don’t think you got real crust on the meat itself. Just burnt seasoning. Salt it only before the cook. Season after

Looks good to me, little over but its still a good steak.

I’d have eaten two

Nice crust, crazy that you got that on stainless with just a little oil. Slight grey band, but otherwise a beautiful medium rare. Nice job!

Looks good to me

Sear 15 seconds each side then eat.

Buying 30$ steaks but scared to do the dishes

You were like less than a minute from perfection. Unless that’s how you want it obviously
TheIntuitiveIdiot
More seasoning! For me at least
AZMadmax
Looks delicious. I want my ribeye closer to medium so the fat is rendered. This looks great to me

That definitely works for me! What time is supper?

Dunno mate?? Did you??
goinghome81
you put it on a paper plate… yes, you did the steak injustice. Geez…
Acceptable-Car-3097
I’d say a good medium with a nice crust. Would probably stand it on its side to sear the front on on the third pic but that’s just my preference. Will devour in 2 minutes.
Kaanvikt
Perfect for me tbh.
Extra-Interaction500
Looks perfect to me. I love a pink center. I could go a little less, but for me definitely not overcooked.
