Stanley Tucci is an award winning actor and filmmaker. Nominated for an Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA for The Lovely Bones (2009). The list of outstanding performances is endless, The Hunger Games, Burlesque, The Terminal, and of course The Devil Wears Prada and Julie & Julia, alongside the inimitable Meryl Streep.
Not content with being brilliant on the big screen, Stanley has also won an Emmy for his TV show Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy.
Nick nervously serves Stanley a negroni and Angela prepares one of his favourite meals, spaghetti alle vongole, with clams, white wine, garlic, parsley and crispy pangrattato (toasted breadcrumbs). Stanley is a man of taste, he talks Italian cooking with Angela, the importance of a leather shoe with Nick and casually drops names like Ryan Reynolds, Cher and Judi Dench into conversation. Stanley Tucci is the epitome of a dream dinner party guest.

We can’t all have a Michelin star chef in the kitchen, but you can ask Angela for help.
Send your dilemmas to dish@waitrose.co.uk and she’ll try to answer in a future episode.
Dish is a S:E Creative Studio production for Waitrose
now I am not one who is necessarily drawn to the Michelin star sorry Angela yeah sorry that’s all she talks about Michelin star at night what was that the Mig star no Angela no that’s the north show but not drawn to a restaurant but if it has a Michelin star for that reason you’re not like oh got to go there no I mean I want to go because I’m curious but I do find a lot of them faffy I think the problem is Micheline has the uh it gives the wrong connotation people think Michelin and they think Posh and they think too many waiters and too much she M whereas actually they’re not all like that it’s food don’t take it too seriously it is a carrot let’s be honest no but you know what I mean you know sometimes

If this is what they think of a Michelin star restaurant, they need to go to the Michelin star barbecue restaurant in Texas.
And this is a prime example of why Angela is so relatable. ❤
He’s so funny 😂
My partner literally got a carrot for his main dish at a three Michelin restaurant. Granted it had taken twelve hours to prepare but honestly when your replacement for a meat dish is a carrot you need to sort out your priorities.
I hear Michelin and think tyres 🤣
She's right, you know.
Stanley tucci and you pretentious chef are making more people sick at looking at food with your high society “ha-has” than you are helping the average person cook. Cooking is about culture, flavor, texture, and togetherness. It’s like watching the evil stepsisters in Cinderella. Stan, just go back to acting. Your book is lame.
After trying several michelan stars restaurant, i feel like, not worthing that much time and money spent go get the reservation and food quality itself! Yes, presentation it’s definitely top, but in the end, the food it’s so so 😢😢😢$$$$!!!!
I dont know who this lady is, but she's quickly becoming one of my favourites.
But most of them are like that and its ok to try… but when i have more conversarion with the waiter than with my wife its just too much🤷🏻♂️
It's just food. Finally. The first sensible thing anybody has said on this podcast. Mind you, with all that time they spend laughing at anything, it's not surprising.
We all know that the stars came from the Michelin car/tire company, right?? They put out these reviews to get people to travel more in their cars
hilarious! <3 <3 <3
Ha!
As a former food server, I was often reprimanded for not taking it seriously enough… but it's not saving babies…it's food and it is supposed to be fun.
Vindicated!
Who cares about some award made up to sell tires
Believe it or not the Michelin star was there for when carriers the car carriages.I mean with the horses and when cars came out.The tires were telling you where to go for good food ,,, hence the name Michelin michelin the tires Michelin Starr.Where to go where to drive 🚗 😮 crazy 🤪, and if you're listening to this or not, listening or reading this tasting history with max Miller is very good.If anybody wants to know about food and the history of the food tasting history max miller fucking great great youtube 😊😊😊😂❤
She's right — it's food, it's a carrot. Michelin stars restaurants focus on art rather than creating honest, fulfilling meals
"It is a carrot", THANK YOU!
😂😂😂
I LOVVVVEER STANLEY!!!
Sometimes its a carrot, got it
Omg….my forevee cruuuuush
It's just a carrot 🥕 😂😂😂 that's she's built a great career on ❤
Love the experiment…. wonder which recipe would be better cooked in a different way
Michelin stars were created by the Michelin Tire company to encourage people to drive more and therefore need more tires.
😂😂😂😂
same
I just dont like the fact food is turned into some pretentiousness. Angela is so right about food is just food
