  1. Chef, with all the ongoing AWS issues, we can’t actually see your submission for today, at least I can’t.

I might recommend re-submitting a little later today when the bugs have been addressed.

  2. SarcasticDruid744

Ooh im early this time! Happy to see it. Go chef!

  3. KomorebiXIII

Can’t see anything wrong with the chives today, chef

  4. TheVillage1D10T

Finally you’ve done it! No one can see ANYTHING wrong with these chives!!

  5. bradymonty95

With the AWS outage I was worried we wouldn’t get to see Day 14 today. Keep up the grind, chef.

  6. I love this series but at this point chive chef can remove the bad ones then show us but doesn’t because he also loves being Reddits chive chef

They really are improving, love to see it

    Getting closer. Bravo.

Is it already time to square them up nicely for that presentation perfection?

  9. The_Draftsman

Is that a hair in them? Near the top middle.

I have no interest in cooking and have no idea why these chives posts keep getting recommended to me but damn OP I admire your commitment to the chasing of perfection. It seems the dream of a madman, but one day I know I’ll open Reddit, see a post about chives, then read the comments where everyone is amazed at how you’ve devoted 634 straight days to chopping chives until you’ve reached a higher proficiency than Edward Scissorhands working salad prep. Then I’ll shed a single tear and nod like Robert Redford.

    Godspeed, you crazy bastard.

  11. Tried so hard to get yall a present today. I did food styling for a commercial and asked one of the guys in the film crew if they would add a shot and get me a professional quality chive close up to post on here.

    Answer: no.

I have never in my life cut a decent cup of chives but in my imagination perfect chives also have an identical radius. Achieving my imaginary perfection would mean not using the smallest and biggest parts of the leek and only using leeks of identical radius. Would this be unnecessary and wasteful in any application? Yes. In most cases perfection is unnecessary and wasteful. Once people can no longer draw planes toward towers I will start drawing radii on the chives.

I feel like you should go the other way and start cutting them horribly

  14. FreeBusRide

Bruh I just want to say I admire you and the commitment.

I have no idea as a FOH person. But I’m enjoying this. I think they’re all perfect. Each and every day. You are making a dreary October slightly better. Not only for your commitment; but because the chatter it’s generating makes me feel more sane than a lot of the doubters. And thank you for that.

Let the man have a day off!

Edit: Real great chives chef. We always seek to be better. That is the game, that is what makes us great. The everlasting pursuit of perfection in an imperfect world. The chives have taught us this very simple lesson. It is enlightenment at its finest. The everlasting pursuit of an unattainable goal. But its really all about the chives we chopped along the way. Enjoy a break, because the chaos of a new week is headed our way shortly.

    Amen

Post script edit: You earned it dude.
