Not a great season for slicers in my deck box planters. I harvested a few Cherokees that were delicious, and loads of cherry tomatoes. This was my only significant beefsteak, but she’s a beauty!

What variety is that?
I grow Burpees Super Sauce hybrid and regularly get tomatoes over 1 lb. My biggest one so far this year has been 22 oz.

That one is just a run of the mill beefsteak from the local garden center!

I like to think that this beefy girl simply commandeered all the nutrients or resources in the box planter because she recognized her own potential and knew her worth 💅
