Honestly, probably. A smaller onion costs less to buy and less to ship

i think bc i am cooking for 1 plus leftovers i love the small onions, as opposed to the massive ones i have to cut in half and use up before they get stinky in my fridge lol

I always laugh when the recipe calls for a lime-sized onion to have a quarter of it sliced for pickled onions, and the rest cut up to use in its base (normally a taco recipe or similar).
