Let me start by saying… I make about $143,000 a year (pre tax). I’m pretty bad with my money but I have a decent accountant who cooks my books pretty well so I do okay with taxes. No kids, no outstanding debt, no chronic health problems. I max out my Roth IRA every year and try to put away at least an extra grand a month into the S&P for when I retire.

So now that I’ve justified myself spending $45 on two sandwiches for all the annoying people in this sub who will call me an idiot for doing so even though they can get a $8 sandwich at subway…let’s begin the review

First picture is the Lorenzo sandwich from Lorenzo. They had sold out of the steak sandwich at 3pm so I had to pivot to the namesake sandwich instead. Everything is great quality from the bread to the meat. It’s a decently large sandwich too. I’m not a small guy and I was content after the first half of the sandwich and very filling after the entire thing. Total after tax was like $22 ( no tip option )I believe. Look, it’s a good sandwich in a trendy expensive area. I can’t imagine the rent on that location lol. I won’t say it’s not worth it but it’s definitely nothing mind blowing. I probably wouldn’t go back unless I was waking by the place and was in the mood. 7/10

Second pic is the macellaia from the cheese store. About $23 after tax ( no tip option as well ). A bit smaller than the other sandwich but had much more flavor. Bread was great as well. Everything is high quality. The experience of the cheese store was also great because I got to try some samples and look around. I feel about as ambivalent about the sandwich as the previous one. Very solid but nothing crazy. 8/10

Honestly I still prefer ghost Sando if I’m going to spend $20+ on a sub. At least I know I’m going to be stuffed to the gills and I love the crunch bread.
