The first frost is coming in the next couple of weeks so it’s time to start taking the plants down. Thought you guys would like to see the giants I got this year.

Plants are Moruga scorpion and Carolina reaper and are currently around 2 m x 2 m. Summer temperatures were record-breaking in Japan this year. We only had 20 mm of rain instead of the usual 140 mm and temperatures were 5 C higher than average. And these plants were very leggy when I transplanted after a ridiculously long spring.

Transplanted under cloth tunnel until established.
Shoots up to the split all picked until the plants were around knee height.
First flowers picked.
750 mL of water with fertilizer per plant per week.
No shade cloth.

If anyone has any questions, ask away. I need to refresh my memory as I start planning for next year!

Incredible! How much area do your plants take up in either acres or hectares? What spacing do you use for your plants?

Beautiful plants. Any pics of the setup from the weed cloth to the plant supports?
