Apparently in some parts of Ohio they will straight up serve you Lunchables pizza in a restaurant

  1. It’s like the pizza was cooked under a photo of the sun.

It’s actually the Ohio River Valley, not exclusively the state of Ohio. I’ve had this style of pizza in Pittsburgh. The weirdest part (beyond the visually obvious) is the crust and sauce are cooked, then they throw the cold toppings on so as you eat it the toppings start to get melty and extremely messy.

I need to know what y’all think of this compared to Rhode Island ‘party pizza’: it’s baked in a sheet pan and served room temp/cold (rly just depends on the bakery), cut into squares, and only has sauce. sometimes you might see a dusting of powdered cheese but traditionally it’s just red sauce

OH SHIT. I thought it was served as a cook-at-home, but no they do bake the crust and then just pile things on top. Ohio what are you doing ?

I’ve seen these monsters pop up for years but hear me out. I want to try one, it’s a regional cuisine. I know it isn’t going to be the best but I think it might be worth it to check the box of different pizzas i had tried. Plus OP compared it to Lunchables and I loved those as a child, don’t tempt me with nostalgia.

  6. First time in this sub I’m not disgusted but outraged

Went to a Braves v Indians WS game in ’95 as a 13yo. Besides the Braves victory, my most vivid memories are of how bad the food was. We did get pizza once, and as I recall, it was about as good as school lunch.

Hear me out, I wasn’t convinced either. You have to get the original at dicarlos the crust is so crunchy and it’s delicious 🤣

As if living in Ohio wasn’t bad enough, now they have to eat that shit?

Lifetime ban from contributing to any pizza prep or cook going forward.

People still cry over pineapple on pizza when this exists.

The lunchables pizza slaps if you microwave it for 30 seconds

This isn’t good, I am a liberal with pizza but raw cheese and uncooked toppings are just wrong. #dons black cap, looks very stern#

“The accused shall be taken from this place and dropped in the bin until at such time the trashman conveys your mortal remains”.

We are right as a nation to abandon the people of this land. They should lose the franchise outright. Ohio delenda est.

  16. PaddyBoy1994

As an Ohioan, we don’t claim that shit🤣

Honestly I’d like a slice of this + always loved lunchables pizza as a kid

  19. koolaidismything

Yeah used to follow a pizza page on Facebook where people posted this bullshit all the time and would get HEATED if you talked shit about it. Yeah well I want pizza, not an adult lunchable like wtf. Straight to the chair!

Every city in America over ~100,000 people (not including suburbs (that includes you San Bernardino)) should be mandated by law to have their own unique style of pizza. (No repeats)

It will all be absolutely awful but it would also be kinda funny and that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make

There’s a place in Pittsburgh called Betos that serves pizza like this. Not my favorite style, but I think it’s good. Every time I went the dining room was messy, which I really dislike and think is the real crime.

  23. Triggered-cupcake

In Central Ohio I can’t think of a single pizza place that offers this. They keep this hidden in the Valleys
