Okay, this is be kind of different. We’re going to make something today, but we’re going to make it with this. We’re going to make it with turkey bacon. Now, the reason I’m going to This is kind of a three-parter is this meal, it can be made hot or I’m going to turn that light above me when I go to cook it, but right now I just don’t want all that that light. Uh it makes a weird light. This is not really a light bulb. It’s a kind of like a I don’t know what it’s called. It’s an electric it’s like a LED type of a thing, but it’s not really a light bulb. It doesn’t burn out. It just produces some kind of thing through glass and that’s what it does. But we’re going to make that. The reason we’re using this is a lady said that she was trying to get her kids to do to eat more healthy and she asked, “What do I think about turkey bacon?” I said, “Well, I I think it’s okay.” But if you look at turkey bacon, sometimes some turkey bacons will have a higher um some higher things that are higher fat or whatever than pork bacon, but it kind of depends on what you can eat or what you feel comfortable eating. U this right here has um when it comes to carbs, zero carbs um per slice um and 40 calories per slice. So it might be higher in calories. I’m not really sure, but that’s what this is. And what we’re going to do is we’re going to make some turkey bacon um ranch like turkey bacon ranch and cheese uh uh wraps is what we’re making. Now, these wraps, this is also something that’s kind of different. These wraps can either be on a hot day, you can eat them cold. On a cold day, eat them hot. You can eat them right out of the microwave. I mean, right out of the the oven, or if if you want to heat them up, you can put them in the microwave. They will have lettuce on there, so lettuce may get a little bit welted, but you can really throw some lettuce in the mic. You’re just heating it up. You don’t want to cook it. A lot of people will buy hamburgers. though I have like three quarter pound burgers for back in the old days a dollar each or now it might be get three for $11. Uh it has a good deal whatever nowadays but uh they didn’t have to take off the lettuce, take off the tomatoes, take off just basically they want to heat the the patty and the cheese, but then you put you reassemble it with cold mustard and cold pickles and cold cheese and cold lettuce on a bun. It’s kind of It doesn’t taste near as good, but it still can be pretty good. So, we’re going to do this. Uh the reason we do this is the lady said to her kids, “I don’t like that turkey bacon. It tastes like the sword.” And I don’t mean super duper or superman or or or any of that kind of stuff or the uh the the 1960s singing group, the Supremes. No, it is the sword for poop. Poop. So, you can’t say that sword. That’s bad. As kids are naughty. Uh should they have gone? You will eat what I cook or you will go to bed hungry. Are you allowed to do that anymore? That’s probably a 911 and throw mama or papa or grandammy or grandpappy or or or or auntie or unclely or hunky donkey and dickory dickory dock right into the old slamooi because you can’t say that. That’s can’t you can’t say it. You can’t do it. You’re in control. So, I’m going to go ahead and pause this turn around and we’ll start getting to cook it. Okay. Okay. And here we go. This is the cooking area. You already saw the bacon. This is Hidden Valley Ranch. A lot of people don’t know that they started making ranch dressing. They had I guess it was a an actual farm or a ranch and they had excess milk and they end up making this out of buttermilk, I guess, is what the story is. Uh we’ll be using these tortillas. Now, these are the the taco size, not the burrito size. Uh these say they’re new look and same great taste. So, I guess they changed something on here. I don’t know. Did they used to be a doorbell or a ring and now back to that? I don’t know. But here’s a flower one. Two neck grams. And this one, two net grams on whole wheat, keto certified and keto certified. There’s a lot of different keto stuff. They’ll be keto friendly. Um, and I’ll say something like appropriate for keto or something. Then there’s actually keto certified. That’s the big enchilada. So, let’s go ahead and open this. Um, it has heating instructions like We kind of know what to do, don’t we? We’ll put this in here. Um, that’s probably too much. Let’s go ahead and we’ll half it. We’ll cook it all. There’s always the saying that um I’m going to make bacon. You know, I’m going to make something with bacon and what I’ll do is I’ll have like bacon and eggs. Then I’ll take the extra bacon and put the extra bacon on a plate and eat it on another meal. But the problem with that is, is there such a thing as extra bacon? Now, if this tastes really good like like the um pork bacon, we probably won’t have anything left over. Um so, they also have beef bacon. I mean, um Oscar Mar had come up with a beef bacon for those that might be um against eating pork. Uh that would be maybe some people that are Jewish. Some people that maybe the the beef um one would be at slightly less or slightly fewer um uh amounts of uh fats. I don’t know. And we’ll put one here and we’ll cook the rest of this while we’re assembling. So what we’re going to do now, we’re going to cook bacon. So um I’m not going to go away from that. you they do have a a griddle that I used to have when I I lived in Texas. Um I lived in a a furnished apartment and the people who lived there before me left this griddle thing that it covers both burners and it’s like a flat griddle. It works pretty pretty well. uh if you eat a lot like pancakes or something uh I’m sure they’ll be really good for that one now I’m not finding which doesn’t really surprise me they’re of a premium and if I don’t find them I don’t find them what I need is this some tongs here they Yeah, I have two sets of tongs. I thought I couldn’t find either one. So, did anybody watch any football today? It is Saturday. This will be out on uh Monday. There will be football tomorrow, too. Sunday and football on Monday. So, we have college football Fridays and Saturdays usually. And then we have pro football on Sunday and Monday, two days in a row. And then we have pro football on Thursday. baseball. If you’re a baseball watcher, the Dodgers have done quite well. They’re now made all the way to the World Series. They’re waiting for the winner of the other series so they can play them. What I’ll do is I I guess I I use a separate plate, but I think I’ll go and start putting them put like one or two on each plate with maybe two slices of bacon in each one and then um I’ll probably log it off and then do it again. We’ll make this with uh like cheddar cheese and Swiss. We’ll put like maybe half a slice of cheddar and a half a slice of Swiss. And then I have leftover from that. We will have um we’ll have some we have some Monterey Jack. We also have some shredded cheddar that we’re going to make some with. And we also have some mozzarella, which is a sliced mozzarella. I want to get like a a sliced I mean a shredded mozzarella. They didn’t have it. It smells like good old regular bacon. When I feed the dogs, I can put the the bacon grease on there. I was talking earlier at McDonald’s, they don’t call it the grease grease. They call it the juices. Make sure you drain the juice before assembling the Big Mac or the quarter pounder with cheese. When I was a kid, they had both quarter pounder and quarter pound cheese. Now, if you want to get that, I don’t think you can get a quarter pounder with no cheese. You have to order it. of course our cheese minus the cheese, so don’t get that money out of you. So now we put some ranch dressing on these. Um, and then we’ll put the lettuce on top of that and then we’ll wrap them up. We’ll see if they are good. Now this is really quick and fat. This real fast. total grams of carbs. We got the two there, maybe one from the cheese, none here, and I think any the dressing. The dressing is one. So, we got about about probably four gram of carbs. Oh, just like a four gram of carbs uh meal. Um, if you if you eat a few of them, of course, you know, get be more carbs. If you certain the certain size for the meal, if you had just one would be about I guess about four grams of carbs. If eat two, you be about eight grams of carbs, which is still pretty low. And like I said, I don’t remember. You can look it up. I look I look it up. Regular bacon versus turkey bacon, which is higher in carbs. I just don’t know. I said football UCLA went down to the wire and beat uh Maryland I guess. Um Notre Dame was winning. I I didn’t watch the end. And I watched the end of the game and then I got hungry so I decided I’d go cook and that’s what I’m doing. So I’m sure it ended right now. It started at uh 4:30 and so usually they run about 3 hours a little more now 9:03 at night. Some people they don’t eat late at night. Somebody say you should eat late at night so your blood sugar stays um regulated or you know normal in control I guess is what they’re the term they use. I don’t know if this should look like you know regular bacon or not. I might just use this and then put the rest away and cook it for something else. And this is what we’re going to use for the lettuce. For the wrap, we’re going use some um 50/50. This is spinach uh and spring mix. So the spring mix is made up of more than one thing. Then I guess it’s 50% spinach, whatever percentage of one kind of leaf and one kind of and the rest of the other kind of leaf. But I don’t know if the leaves they are. They’re not banana leaves or leaves off of a grapefruit tree. Buddies like the leaves off of a grapefruit tree. I don’t know how they would ever get those in the wild cuz they’re pretty high up. I guess maybe they fall off the grapefruit tree and they go get it. Bunnies are weird. They’re cool. They’re weird. So they don’t they don’t walk. They don’t run. They just pop. Let’s go for a little bit longer. When you cook a lot like this and you like add some to it, you’ll have some pieces that are like burning and super crisp and some that are, you know, not done yet. So, that’s what I’m dealing with here. Do you like turkey bacon? Anyone out there? You like that? Would would you use the mozzarella cheese on this? Would you use some Monterey Jack? What kind of cheese you would like on here? I was trying to use up the um slices that I have that I used to make the patty melts. Let’s start putting them together, kind of greasy. And like I said before, some people that eat a keto diet, they say to not remove the fat to keep the fat because um you want you want fat and you want some you want some fat. Like it could be even butter. Some people get a burger and they’ll add a little butter to the burger, you know. Um uh cheese has some fat and that kind of thing, too. Um and then maybe get enough [Music] sodium. You may want to add some salt like you know how the salt shaker or whatever little salt on there. I’m going to do it this way. You get a lot of um smoke as you go. We add lettuce to these or some. So you’re getting this way you’re getting a very low carb with some vegetables um vegetables on there. Now a lot of people say a healthy diet is low in calorie. and then they stop right there. And somebody say, “Oh, low in calories, but makes you eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.” Well, as a diabetic, I really can’t have hardly any fruit. So, strawberries, um, maybe watermelon, uh, two that I like. Uh, then they have things like, um, you know, if you eat like carrots, that’s very high in carb. So, don’t do that. I know you want to don’t do that. These right here are going to be difficult to roll. Um, but so I may turn them upside down, which I probably will. I’ll roll it and I’ll turn upside down. Then if I was going to make a presentation with it, um, I would probably turn it back over like this. Yeah, the the wheat ones kind of do that. Kind of pop open. These usually don’t do as much, but they can. Yeah. So, yeah, they’re both going to pop open. So, what I’m gonna do is I’m gonna kind of put the opening on the bottom so you see what it looks like. I’ll show you what it tastes like. And turn. I guess I could get piece of this. bacon here by itself. How close it is to regular pork bacon. Um, I noticed they only had one brand of this, which was this one I bought, of course. Makes sense, right? Um, but it uh is very similar to pork bacon. But then a ton of different kinds of pork bins. This is a little bit these tortillas are a little bit small for this. If they’re on a run a big four or five like burrito tortilla, it wouldn’t be like this. We just got two sides of bacon and three to bring it in for the airport. So I’ll eat this one too just to make sure it’s good. The consistency is the same. The crispness the same. What I know is not um what I know it’s not not um pork. Probably not. I’ll put this away. After I eat, I’ll come back and do that. So, what I’m going to do now, I think I will turn it around and I’ll take a bite out of each one and let you know if they’re good. Going to pause. Okay, this is what they look like. And I’ll open the bottom. This is the the the flour tortilla. Good. And there’s a wheat tortilla. Looks good like that, doesn’t it? Also good. What you can do also, you can put some extra ranch on the plate if you want to dip them. So, contrary to the reports, it doesn’t taste like poop. Not like poop at all. tastes like, especially in the wrap, it just tastes like um bacon. So, remember, please, please, please, please, please subscribe, like, share, and comment. I’ve never tried turkey bacon but I definitely need to now. David, you have a Trader Joe’s there? I love buying my turkey, ham and cheese there. Their bread is also pretty decent. Their prices are very cheap. Thank you for this awesome recipe! I tried your burrito recipe last weekend and I loved it! I added some garlic powder and salt to mine though. I couldn’t find the seasoning you used. Loved how it turned out.
