
Did You Know? Sojok is a beloved Middle Eastern sausage that dates back hundreds of years. It is known for its rich blend of spices like paprika, cumin, and garlic.
Ingredients
- 2 tomatoes (1 sliced, 1 diced)
- 6 garlic cloves
- Olive oil
- Ground beef
- Salt, to taste
- Sojok spices (Lebanese spice blend)
- Bread loaf
- Spreadable butter
- Sliced pickles
Directions
- Heat the pan, then add a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and let it brown slightly while stirring occasionally.
- Slice one tomato into circles, dice the other, and crush the garlic using a mortar and pestle.
- Add the crushed garlic, diced tomato, salt, and sojok spices to the beef. Mix well and cook until the mixture is fully done.
- Slice open the garlic & herbs Italian bread loaf, fill it generously with the cooked sojok mixture, and close it up.
- Spread butter on top of the loaf and grill it in a panini press until slightly crispy.
- Open the sandwich, layer in the tomato slices and pickles, and enjoy!
