[Music] Okay y’all, Miss Jay’s back with another video. decided I’d go with this cabbage boil tick tock craze that’s going on. Going to show you guys my ingredients what I’m using. We have us some chicken broth here. Got a little extra booon in it to kick up that chicken flavor. Got us some Tony Creole seasoning. Some lemon pepper. Preferred to use without salt, but this got salt in it, so I’m using it minimum. I got me some olive oil to coat my cabbage with some black pepper to go on that. A little sugar and all of this is going on the outside. A little sazoon. And then these two also in my ingredients for my sauce. So along with Tony lemon pepper, which I have everything already in here, we’re going to add in some O seasoning. Got some garlic powder. Y’all know how we feel about garlic, so yes, the humongous one. Got a little parsley, paprika, onion powder, chili powder, chipotle chili peppers for that kick. Got us some garlic that’s going over here with this and in the sauce. Okay, so we going to get started and get our cabbage together. And first, we’re going to wash it. And then most people they take the leaves off and core it, which I’m going to do, too. But I don’t see people using their leaves. I’m using all my cabbage. So, these leaves will be at the bottom of that foil. See y’all in a minute. Y’all know the motto. We bought it all. We going to use it all. Okay, y’all. As you can see, we are cing out the middle of our cabbage. And those that have let you know on the Tik Tok videos that this is a process did not tell a tale. This is a process. You have to juke down in there pretty good. But eventually we got in there. It wasn’t, as you can see, not as deep as I wanted it. So I kind of did a little bit more shaving to the inside. went down a little deeper and open it up a little bit wider. See there? As you can see, that’s pretty deep. We want to make sure we get in those layers with all of our flavor. And so now we are ready to put it on our foil and begin seasoning up our cabbage. We are going to season the outside as well as the inside. So, first of all, we’re going to start with our olive oil here. And we’re going to get in the inside and the outside. Just grease that baby up. Yep. We’re also going to put butter in the inside, but hey, we want that seasoning to adhere to the outside. So, we’re going to put some oil on the outside so it’ll stick. So, now we’re going in with our butter. I melted it a little bit. I’m trying to get the loose or clarified butter down in the bottom before I let the softened butter go in. And just trying to make sure I get it up on the sides. Now, we’re going in with our tablespoon of garlic. As you can see, I used a half a stick of butter. And then I use a splash of our liquid um chicken broth. And so now I am going on the outside. And of course, you don’t have to do this in the same order that I did. I probably should have put the seasonings on the outside before I put the stuff on the inside, but the butter kind of held it in. Uh the garlic didn’t move much and neither did the uh chicken broth, believe it or not. But of course, there we’ve added our seasoning salt. We’re now adding our lemon pepper. We’re going here with our saon. And once I put the lemon pepper and the saone on the outside, I decided to forego the pepper even though I have it out. I used about half of this pack uh sasson on the outside of this. Now, we’re going in with a little sugar. Um but you can use as much of the sazone if you want to or all of it on one. I kind of split it between the two because that was all I had. So, here I am cutting out those stems on the green pieces and making a layer for my cabbage to lay on. Giving it a little water, season it a little bit. I wanted them to come out tender, too, so that I could, you know, eat them also. But, uh, now I’m folding it up, closing up everything real tight, trying to make sure we get all of that steam that’s going to be coming from the heat to feed back into our cabbage. And so, you want to make sure that you wrap it up really, really, really good. Okay. So, we’re going to sit that one to the side and work on our second cabbage. We are going to do the same thing and um, put all the same ingredients in here. And so I decided to leave this part of the video in just so you guys can see a quick fix of it. But hey, we’re moving pretty quickly there. We’re going to get it both of them on this pan and we’re going to get it in our 350° oven for about 2 hours. So now we’re going to get ready for our sauce. And we’re going to get a whole onion here. Cut up, sliced up, diced up finely. Just make sure we get a nice helping of onions for our sauce. You want to add that into your cabbage and make it all nice and filling. As you can see, we are done. And so now we’re going to go to our pan. We have some bacon chopped up here. You can use as much or as little bacon as you want to. This is about five slices that I used here. And we’re just going to get that bacon to render its juices or its fat, whichever one you want to call it. And then we’re going to go in and add in some sausage that we had, which was a jalapeno cheese sausage, if you can see that. But you don’t have to use that. You can use whatever kind of sausage you want to use, which is fine. You can use how much you want to use. I only had about a half left and so that’s what I use. So, as you can see, we taking our bacon out, and we’re going to cook our onions in that rendered bacon fat just to bring home that bacon flavor more to our onions. I’m going to get those all nice and caramelized, caramelized as much as you want them to be caramelized, you know, but I still wanted mine to have a little tooth, a little give, so they’re not overly caramelized. Now we’re adding in all of those spices we put into our bowl. And we’re just going to get those to mix together with our onions. Let them marry really well. Those onions soak up all of those spices because that’s the flavor we want on our cabbage when we get done. Okay. So, just making sure it’s well incorporated. Checking it out. Now we’re going in with another heaping tablespoon of garlic. And I’m just adding in a little juice here from the garlic container. Just trying to get that flavor in there. Y’all know garlic, as most of y’all, we love it. So, we’re adding it in. This is our cup of chicken broth. I started out with a half a cup, but then I just wanted more juice in here and wanted it to render down more and still have a lot of liquid in it. So, I added about a cup. Then, we’re going to squeeze, as you can see, a half a lemon. Squeeze it really, really well. Get all those juices out of it. And then, we’re just going to let this kind of boil up a little bit. Almost forgot my butter. So, we’re going to go in with another half a stick of butter. here. Uh, of course, you know, butter is going to add in that grease or whatever. It’s going to definitely add in flavor, but if you don’t want too much oil, saturated fat in your food, you can cut down on the size of that butter if you want to. I loved every minute of it. Okay, so we’re just going to stir in our butter and let it melt down and melt in all of our flavors. so that when it boils up a little bit more, it’ll actually uh get into our onions also. Okay, so we got it melted down and we’re just going to give it a little bit more time to boil up. Now, we’re going to go back in with our cooked bacon and sausage, and we’re going to let the juice that we have left in there kind of soak up in our crispy bacon. Yes, cook your bacon to crispy because once you put it back in the liquid, it is going to soak it up. Okay. And we got all that all done. All right, guys. Here’s our final product. Let’s open this up. All right. Give me a second. Let put on this plate. All right. It’s all nice and tender. Now, we’re going to get our sauce on here. All those juices. Got that bacon in there. Got that butter. That butter drip down the side. Got them onions. They’re looking mighty good. Give us a four. If you made it to the end of the video, this Tik Tok Cabbage boil. Don’t mess it up because everybody going to get some. But we want to taste it. Get some of that meat and that cabbage in there. I don’t know what y’all talking about. That’s good.
