That was the base recipe. My spice mix was a bit different and I grilled Anaheims and jalepenos, pureed them, then folded them into a cilantro lime sauce.

For anyone else curious:
Get tortillas, get meat. I think ground meat works the best. Lay a tortilla down, put a little meat on the tortilla, pound the meat into a thin layer that covers the tortilla. Repeat numerous times, then stack your meaty tortillas. Put skewers in your meat stack, evenly spaced, then slice directly between each skewer. Now you have multiple column shaped meat and tortilla stacks. I’ve seen them grilled or thrown in the air fryer

Seen a variation with Vietnamese style meat. Looks incredible, but hard to find the meat near me.
I along with the dozens of other xennials here who avoid tiktok & instagram like the actual plague that it is, had no idea what you were talking about, but these sound delicious. Not knocking you at all, just pointing out the communication disconnect between generations. Thank you for sharing, will be trying this soon.

So you put a cooked food between a raw food and grill it, thus burning the cooked food and hoping you get the raw food to temp before the cooked is absolute ass. Seems cool. I bet it was great.

Mexican here, why can’t you just grill the meat, heat the tortillas, and make the fucking tacos?!

tell us more. what exactly is a meat and tortilla stack?
Details please. I see tortillas but what else is going on. Looks good.
I want to do this, but a breakfast version, use croissant or phyllo dough instead of tortilla.
Use breakfast sausage, eggs and onion in the mix.
With hollandaise on top.
