Been a big fan of cooking steaks with just salt+msg, sometimes black pepper but has been getting a bit over played recently. In light of change, does anyone have a good marinade?

I’m a strip guy myself. A bit more on the lean side as the beef taste is unmatched. Ribeyes are good too.

I moved on to filet mignons for a while. I ate ribeyes and prime rib for decades (worked in steakhouses). All the fat got to me after a while. The filet is lean but nice and tender.

Denver steak or hanger have stronger beef flavor. So does top sirloin. Ribeye tastes mostly like fat, which is fine, but if you eat steak often, it gets old. Gotta switch it up.
