Looks good but not $62. How was it?
Beautiful_Citron7133
I would be disappointed.
gewehr_und_messer
Looks like wedding food, to be honest.

The ambiance had better be worth $33.

I went to Paris where I ate the best steak I’ve ever had and it was 24 euros. Never paying $60 for a steak in a restaurant again.
shiba-on-parade
Which chef?
Emdub81
That’;s closer to a sandwich steak than a cut I’d pay $62 for. I’m sure it tastes good, but from a value standpoint, yuck.
mojonation1487
It’s so skinny…
HeresyReminder
Paying shitehawk money for a cheap cut hey.

Going out to eat is getting more expensive by the second. I’d be more surprised to see an actual deal on a restaurant steak. You gotta cook at home to really get your money’s worth, imo

Idk why people are hating. Steak looks well cooked and even looks great with the crossed grill marks.
Considering prime ribeyes are nearly $30 a lb at Costco, $62 for a dining experience to eat a steak isn’t that bad right now considering a trip to McDonald’s costs $20.

I prefer a solid sear, not grill marks. Plus it has grey which is odd considering it’s so thin. At least you gave it a try, but would you go back?
LehighAce06
That’s a shame

You’re paying a premium for a name, and hey it looks good, real good, but probably not $62 good.
Serious-Wish4868
why does it matter if the owner was on top chef? do every person on top chef get some special magical herb that give you orgasm every time you take a bite? such a dumb flex! get over urself.
the food actually looks like a home cook. sorry buddy, you got screw. meal is not worth $62. hey maybe you got the special dumbass “owner was on top chef” tax for the gullible
boomstickjonny
Looks small for that much

Looks decent but yet again justifies my default decision to make better steaks at home.

Not worth the $$
johndrake666
Looks disappointing for that price LOL

The only high end steakhouse i’ve been to that I truly believe is worth its hype and cost is Berns in tampa. I’ve been underwhelmed in one way or another from every other one and I’ve been to a lot.
Andyman1973
Looks pretty good for a $19.95 steak dinner.

How many ozs was the steak? Im leaning towards the others who say it was overpriced.
bloks27
The steak looks good, sure, but for $62 I’m looking for something thicker than 3/4” with a nice wall-to-wall cook. This looks no better than your average joe could whip up on the grill on any given Tuesday.

I have a local place that serves thin meh seared steaks like that for ~$30.
Of course I also have a local place that serves thin inconsistently seared ‘prime’ steaks like that for $60 too.
I hate not having good local steak places
PizzaDeliveryBoy3000
Looks good but there’s no way I am paying $62 for it

Live up to the hype of the chef? I lived in DC and have had a chance to experience a few restaurants with chefs from Top Chef and it always felt like the food was fine, but no reason to charge extra since the person was on tv. Always left hungry too.
ElFanta83
Wow multiple visits to my closest Texas roadhouse would satisfy me more. Sorry bro, but for that money you are talking top notch ribeye.
PeanutOrganic9174
62 dollar for that? Idk
E_Zack_Lee
Obviously, the chef didn’t win season two. /s
Starlight319
This looks a bit basic.
Big_Trash7976
Yikes. That’s one thin cut. Insane to charge $60
scottinokc
Nothing against that steak in particular (it looks fine), but I can have 5 lbs of ribeye at home for $62 AND prepare it the way I like. Since going carnivore, the only time I eat steak in a restaurant is when I travel.
QuickCharisma15
That looks exactly like a steak I could have made at home. It doesn’t look like a bad steak overall, but it’s not a $62 steak.
