Decided to make a roast with potatoes, carrots, and onions for this chilly fall day in Michigan. It turned out great.

I’m going to be honest. I’ve seen gunk in P traps that look exactly like that first picture. 😂

I’m sure it was good though.

How long did you let this cook and on what setting? It should fall apart way more then did. I’ve never cooked a roast and been able to actually slice it like that.

Maybe you should have added a little bit of beef broth? But if you’re happy that’s all that matters.

The roast doesn’t look tender the way it’s evenly cut in half like that. Looks tough and dry.

Glad you enjoyed it, but maybe next time add some more liquid. The liquid should cover the meat. In addition to the jar of beef gravy you used, add some beef stock to cover the meat.

Well….if you say so. Looks pretty awful to me.

That roast looks tough, it should basically fall apart and shred

Cook it longer to 6hr and more liquid so is it falling apart tender. It looks pretty blah. I would also season and sear it before cooking it in the crockpot! I bet it tasted good though!

You gotta cook that roast longer and it will fall apart

That looks…..rough. Perhaps, use the low setting for less time.

He forgot to mention he left it on the porch for the summer

Nowhere near enough liquid for my taste, but bone app the teeth, OP

Oooo sorry but the 1st pic couldn’t tell what it was but the post with everything looked much better. My question is was the meat tender? It looks tough to me. Just asking this isn’t a criticism. I’m sure it was good. 👍🏻
