Seriously, I love this thing. I can just find a few ingredients I think will go well together, put them over rice, and I feel like Iβm having a feast! Definitely recommend if you want something convenient but still fun to make π

Do you have the more basic type, or the fancy kind?
Iβve wanted a rice cooker since forever, I just canβt afford the expensive kind and Iβm not sure Iβd be happy with the basic kind.

Can someone explain the rice cooker hype to me? Iβve always done it the traditional way and never understood why one would need a rice cooker when you basically do the same thing youβd do with a pot and stove.

If you eat rice more than twice a week I would recommend buying a $200+ rice cooker with multiple features. It will change your life. I use a 3 quart Insta-Pot and it makes rice very well for me and it cooks a lot of other things.

i splurged and bought a fancy rice cooker and let me say, it was worth every penny – game changer is exactly right. now i buy the very nice rice and pop it in my zojirushi and just put in a bowl and eat with some seaweed bc that rice is like nothing else, perfect, soft, delectable. hell yeah rice cooker!

Anyone wanting an expensive rice cooker but canβt afford it, try an Instant Pot. You put 1:1 rice/water in it, pressure cook 3 mins then let natural release for 15mins and youβll have perfect rice with no river of water on your counter.Β
